Before A clutch's original lining, aged and damaged, the inner fabric flaking away
After A clutch with a brand-new lining fitted, smooth and clean inside

Lining Replacement

For a torn, unglued or stained lining, we remove the old one, re-cut to the bag's pattern and sew in a new lining — restoring a clean, tidy interior.

Reworked · One Becomes Two

A client's large LV tote — we fully disassembled it, kept the original monogram canvas, and paired it with all-new leather to remake the handles and leather parts, turning it into two brand-new bags so a classic could begin another journey.

FAQ

Common Questions

What kinds of bags can you repair?
We can assess leather bags of all brands and styles — designer bags, everyday bags, belts, wallets and other leather goods. Before dropping off, it helps to call or send photos of the damage so we can give an initial sense of feasibility and cost.
How is the repair cost calculated?
Cost depends on the extent of damage, the complexity of the work, and whether materials need replacing — so we can only quote after seeing the item or photos. Our principle is to tell you honestly, so you can decide whether to go ahead once you know the cost.
Will the repaired leather match the original color?
We do our best to choose the closest-matching leather so a replacement blends with the original. But leather is a natural material, and some hides are already dyed at the tannery, so an exact match is inherently difficult — though with luck we sometimes find a near-perfect color. If we truly can't find a suitable color, we'll tell you honestly and let you decide. We explain upfront what's achievable, and never over-promise.
If a bag is in poor condition, would you advise against repair?
Yes. Sometimes a bag arrives in such poor shape that even a forced repair may cause other problems or no longer be durable. In those cases we'll tell you honestly, from experience, to help you judge whether it's worth repairing — so you don't spend money without getting the result you hoped for.
Why are some repairs not cheap? Is the disassembly complex?
Some areas can be handled from the outside; others require taking the bag apart internally. To repair one area, we sometimes have to disassemble the whole bag piece by piece — and when the work is that involved, the cost naturally isn't low.
My bag is misshapen — can it be restored to its original form?
We try to reuse the original holes and follow the bag's original pattern. But some bags become so badly deformed in use that there's no original shape left to reference — in which case we do our best to deduce a sensible form and rebuild it.
Can all designer-bag hardware be repaired or replaced?
Not always. Much designer-bag hardware isn't available on the open market; old hardware can be seized shut or glued internally so it can't be opened at all. In those cases we pivot and find suitable replacement hardware to complete the repair, discussing it fully before we begin.
How long does it take?
Turnaround depends on the damage; we'll give an estimated completion time at assessment. Most repairs take a few days to two weeks; special parts or materials may take a little longer, and we'll let you know in advance.
Can peeling edge paint be repaired?
Peeling edge paint is one of the most complex repairs, and there can be many causes: the leather surface; aging of the edge paint itself (it's resin-based, so it naturally becomes brittle and cracks over time); the inner lining fabric; or how the bag has been used. Because of this, it's often hard to judge from photos alone — sometimes we only know whether it's feasible once we actually start the work.
